Medical disposable Nonwoven fabric

Medical disposable nonwovens are necessities for treatment and diagnosis, including medical protective fabricing, infection control supplies, incontinence supplies, surgical gauze, ward appliances, operating room supplies, surgical shoe covers, traditional Chinese medicine paste, blood drug filtration, wound dressing, etc.

Medical Nonwoven fabric

Medical Nonwovens include nonwovens produced by various processes, such as spunbonded fabric, melt blown fabric, SMS composite fabric, electrospun silk fabric, Spunlaced fabric and needle punched fabric. Among them, PP spunbonded fabric is often used to make sanitary fabric; SMS composite fabric is used to make sanitary napkins and pads (hot air fabric for medical and sanitary purposes is made of 100% PP / PE composite fiber ES fiber); Spunlaced fabric is mainly used for personal care and surgical supplies strictly controlled in environmental protection.

According to the end use, medical nonwovens can be divided into the following three categories.

1. Medical isolation materials

Medical isolation materials include surgical fabrices, protective fabricing, surgical fabrices and hats, masks, surgical cover fabric, disinfection curtain fabric, patient fabrices, bed sheets, bed covers, medical device coating materials, etc. these products are the most used, and the technical indicators vary according to the specific application requirements.

2. Medical data

Medical dressings include gauze, bandage, adhesive tape, wound paste, plaster paste, liquid absorption pad materials, etc. The consumption of this kind of products is relatively less than that of isolated products, but the technical index requirements are higher.

3. Medical functional materials

Medical functional materials such as artificial blood vessels, artificial skin, artificial kidney, artificial lung, etc. The amount of such materials is small, but the technical content is very high and the price is high. At present, China imports such materials and products from Germany, the United States, Japan and other countries every year. Imports amounted to hundreds of millions of dollars.

Three basic characteristics of medical grade Nonwovens

1. Biocompatibility, will not pollute the product.
2. The raw material itself is non-toxic and will not cause allergy.
3. Low bacterial content, high hydrostatic pressure and good barrier.
In addition, it also requires good hand feel, high strength, no residue and falling off, sterilization treatment and radiation resistance. Treatment of ethylene oxide and hot steam. It has the characteristics of heat sealing (bonding) performance and easy composite processing.
Safety is the most important factor of medical products, and the quality of materials is required to be stable and reliable.

Process characteristics of Medical Nonwovens

1. It is required to produce in a clean environment (100000 level clean workshop).
2. Hygiene control shall be carried out for all operators (wear protective fabricing, wind shower and wash hands).
3. The manufacturing process is mainly manual operation and carried out in the way of assembly line.
4. There are many product specifications, and the selection of raw materials should be standard.
5. There are special requirements for folding and packaging of products to facilitate use.
6. Production activities shall be carried out in accordance with relevant standards, such as CE (European conformity assessment) TUV (German Association for technical supervision) so13485 (requirements of medical device quality management system for regulations).
7. There are strict requirements for materials and products. For example, protective products implement the standards formulated by AAMI (American Medical Equipment Development Association), en (European Standards Committee), NFPA (American National Fire Protection Association), FDA (American food and Drug Administration), ISO (International Organization for Standardization), GB (Chinese national standard) and other countries, regions and relevant organizations.
