What is the Difference between PET nonwoven fabric and PP non-woven fabric?

2023-03-03

Comparison between (PP) polypropylene non-woven fabric and (PET) polyester non-woven fabric:

1. PP raw material is cheap, PET raw material is expensive. PP waste can be recycled and PET waste can not be recycled, so PP cost is slightly lower.
2. The high temperature resistance of PP is about 200 ℃, while that of PET is about 290 ℃. PET is more resistant to high temperature than PP.
3. Non-woven fabric printing, heat transfer effect, large shrinkage of PP with the same width, small shrinkage of PET, better effect, more saving and less waste of PET.
4. Tensile force, tension, bearing capacity and the same weight, PET is greater than PP in tension, tension and bearing capacity. 65g PET is equivalent to 80g PP's tension, tension and bearing capacity.
5. From the perspective of environmental protection, because PP is mixed with recycled PP waste, PET is all new polyester chips, and PET is more environmentally friendly and sanitary than PP.

PET non-woven fabric application range:
● Home textiles: cashmere lining, heat transfer printing, non-woven calendar, office document hanging bag, curtain, vacuum cleaner bag, disposable garbage bag.
● Packaging: cable wrapping cloth, handbag, container bag, flower wrapping material, desiccant, adsorbent packaging material.
● Decoration: wall decorative cloth, floor leather base cloth, flocking base cloth.
● Agriculture: agricultural harvest cloth, crop and plant protection, weed protection belt, fruit bag, etc.
● Waterproof material: breathable (wet) waterproof material base cloth.
● Industrial applications: filter materials, insulation materials, electrical appliances, reinforcement materials, support materials.
● Others: protective articles, tourism products, etc.
● Filtration: filtration of sewage or oil.
