Meltblown nonwoven fabric production machine

The production of meltblown machine is an interesting process which changes little plastic pellets into a soft and durable material. It all starts with taking plastic pellets and putting them into a machine that melts the pellets down until they become a liquid. The solution is then pumped through small holes in a spinning drum to form long fibers that are cooled and collected on a belt. Then the fabric is rewound onto a giant spool, and nebulized when you make diapers, face masks or filters etc.

How Meltblown Machines Work

The meltblown machines are the vital which can produce top quality nonwoven fabric. The air stretch texturing uses a combination of heat, pressure, and air to turn plastic pellets into fine threads that can be knit into fabric. First, the plastic pellets are heated up until they turn into liquid. The result is then injected under pressure through tiny nozzles onto a high-speed spinning drum. The liquid is funneled out through small openings and as soon as it touches the drum, it's pulled into hair-like strands that get cooled and drop off onto a conveyer belt. This makes a soft yet firm fabric that is ideal for lot of uses.
