Nonwoven production process

Simply put, non-woven fabrics are not woven as the more familiar kinds of cloth. They are found in a lot of stuff, like diapers, face masks and cleaning wipes. Want to know how they are made? An insight into the YP nonwoven production line

Non-woven fabric begins life as raw material such as polyester, polypropylene or nylon. These are melted down to tiny fibers. This fabric is then placed with all fibers slipped or bonded to form continuous and sheet fabrics.

Understanding the Various Techniques of Nonwoven Production

Non-wovens are produced using several methods, including spunbond, meltblown and needle punch. Spunbond fibers of YP are spun then laid down on a mesh to make the fibers handle like paper. While the fiber in the spunbond process is woven together, it is hot air that is used to blow the fibers onto a conveyor belt where they form nonwoven line material. The punch process utilizes barbed needles to mat the fibers down.
